citizenM app nominated for prestigious Webby Award

The Webby Awards, the leading international award that honors internet excellence, has nominated the citizenM app in the category mobile apps - best practices. 

The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring internet excellence, such as websites and mobile sites, apps and software, video, advertising and more. The judges, also known as the Acadamy, consist of more than 2000+ leading Internet experts, business figures, luminaries, visionaries and creative celebrities. Winners of the Webby Awards will be announced this May.

Digital partnership

The project ‘Towards a digital-first hotel, every step of the user journey’ started in 2018, when Triple became the digital partner of citizenM hotels. Since then, Triple has helped them reinvent their customer journey and better live up to the brand mission. The project resulted in a frictionless user journey on the website, in-room tablet, check-in kiosk and mobile app.

The citizenM mobile app allows guests to take full control of their stay; from checking in- and out to opening room doors and ordering food. Besides using the app, guests can use the in-room tablet that picks up where you left things on your phone, all in the same familiar design. Another stand-out feature is how the animations and colors support the user journey and translate the colorful interior to the digital realm. 

The project ‘A digital first hotel, every step of the user journey’ has been recognized by multiple awards this past year: two golden Dutch Interactive Awards, a Red Dot Design Award, two Silver SpinAwards and six W3 Awards.
