Hoogheemraadschap Hollands Noorderkwartier (HHNK) has selected Triple for the implementation of its Cloud Adoption to Azure. The first activity is to migrate the Waterbeeld application to the cloud.
With our expertise as - Microsoft Gold partner - we’re responsible for laying the foundation so that HHNK can safely gain experience with the cloud. Important aspects are security, DevOps support and the scalability of the application. The next step is to make the application architecture cloud-suitable so that it will eventually be suitable for public use.
“A first cloud adoption is a big step for many companies. We are pleased to have received the trust from HHNK and look forward to a great step forward,” said Lennart van Wijk, Managing Director Cloud Solutions at Triple.
“Waterbeeld is an important step in supporting our work. Bringing together and analyzing large amounts of data in a new cloud environment makes it possible to better and more effectively manage our primary tasks.” Theo Mosch, quartermaster data science, at the Hoogheemraadschap Hollands Noorderkwartier.
Waterbeeld provides an overview of the performance of HHNK on its primary tasks. A traffic light report and geographical representations provide daily insight into the most important performance indicators within the water board.
Every day, HHNK works to protect the land against the water, against flooding and water shortages, for clean and healthy surface water and for safe (water) roads. HHNK is responsible for the area above the North Sea Canal: Hollands Noorderkwartier.
HHNK ensures clean surface water, for example, by purifying sewage water, maintaining polder roads, bridges and dikes. In addition, they support surrounding municipalities with risk management as a result of the rising sea levels and changing weather conditions in areas below sea level. By monitoring more than 1,400 kilometers of coastline, HHNK also helps to prevent flooding.
